A Ukrainian helicopter has crashed in Stretavka, a small village in Eastern Slovakia - frontier of the European Union. Slovak officials have confirmed today, that there has been 8 people killed who were on board during the crash that happened yesterday (Friday) afternoon. According to Ivan Netik, the official spokesman for the Slovak Mnistry of Defence added: "We cannot confirm the nationality of the 8 passengers involved in the accident, but so far we have an indication that the civil aircraft was involved in human trafficking. The cause of the helicopter crash is yet unknown, however it looks like that the accident was mostly influenced by the poor visibility and bad weather. The pilots of the aircraft were possibly trying to fly across the borders under the radar" - said the spokesman. The police and the forensic team is currently at the scene of the crash, the investigation will likely to be finished by the end of the day. According to Juraj Lesko, chief constabulary of the Regional Police Directorate in Košice, there are at least 25 officials working on site. Further information will be provided later today.
