The Hungarian Richard Szanyi from the village of Rešice, Slovakia has already racked up a huge selection of trophies despite his young age. The 23 year old young heavyweight lifter has been competing since the age of 15, when he first tried his hands at a local deadlift competition. Since then he has been all around the world, competing with the world's strongest men. Up to date he is a 4 times World , 2 times EU and 7 times Slovak national deadlift champion. But now Szanyi wants to become a professional Strongman competitor, so he has been training for the last few months for the upcoming Slovak Amateur Strongman championship held this year in June. Unlike his fellow competitors, he has been training with home crafted DIY weights, such as thrown out tractor tyres, concrete blocks, and old car and tractor rims, with the help of his father. On the photos he is seen lifting an old tractor tyre weighing some 440 kilograms.
