This set of images show the final chase hunt of the year in the village of Nizna Mysla, the outskirts of Kosice, situated in Eastern-Slovakia. The photos were taken on Tuesday, the 6th of January 2015, they describe some of the moments of the traditional wild boar hunt. Over 20 hunters joined together near the village of Nizna Mysla and went on to celebrate this traditional event by hunting for pheasants, wild boars and deer. This hunting group has been working together since the 1960's. They currently own 2760 hectars of woodland, they have 28 members. The biggest prey of Tuesday's chase hunt was a female wildboar, weighing some 250 kilogramms. The beast was shot down by a young hunter, Michal Sekerak. "I am very happy with the beast I shot down, this is my best score so far. I would be very glad if I could score like this all the time, but I think I won't be this lucky anymore" - said the young hunter, who's been member of the group for the last 6 years.
